Habitat Valencia

Between the **17th and 20th of this September the Valencia Hábitat’19 will be held, the authentic showcase of the Spanish furniture, lighting and decoration sector. At it will take place, simultaneously, the 55th International Furniture Fair, the 52nd International Lighting Fair, and the 17th NUDE, Young Design Talents Showcase.

The event has managed to increase by 41 % the exhibition area and by **21 % the number of participating firms compared with last year. In addition, 1 855 high-net-worth invited guests from 60 countries have confirmed their attendance. Furthermore, the event will attract professionals from the world of architecture and interior design, who will be able to exchange experiences and points of view with retailers, distributors, buying groups and commercial agents.

Visitors, whose number is expected to increase significantly compared with the little more than 26 000 of the last edition, will be able to see the latest novelties in contemporary, classic, upholstered and avant-garde furniture, as well as in high decoration, lighting, rest, equipment for installations, gifts and accessories.

On the other hand, they will be able to enjoy a full program of activities —structured around four major areas: design, contract, interior design and trends— and attend the interesting conferences offered by this important event, in which the main challenges in the interior design sectors in general, architecture and contract will be analysed, that is, the area that encompasses decoration and interior design applied to commercial or professional spaces (offices, commercial premises, restaurants, cafés, hotels, banks, etc.).

In this edition of the fair the speakers will focus their attention on the challenges of the digital era, the new uses of interior design through customer experience (individualised experience), and the relationship between contract and institutional spaces.

It should not go unmentioned the series of recognitions that Hábitat began in its previous edition for professionals with special significance in the sector and that this year will continue with the Valencian architect and industrial designer Ramón Esteve, who will be the protagonist of the central retrospective space, which will be converted into an installation designed by him and in which a large selection of especially relevant furniture pieces produced for various national and international brands can be seen.
