SICUR (International Security Exhibition)

What is SICUR?
SICUR stands for the International Security Exhibition, organised by IFEMA. It is a trade fair that brings together companies, associations, professionals and users related to the security sector, both from the public and private sectors.
The main objective of this exhibition is to showcase technological innovations and developments related to five major areas of security:
-
- Security:
Electronic security, physical security and security services. The different tools and solutions developed in this field are designed to guarantee the protection of both assets and people. - Cybersecurity:
Solutions focused on protecting a company’s most valuable information. The exhibition highlights the main threats that can compromise online data and presents the latest technologies to strengthen digital security. - Fire Safety and Emergencies:
Active and passive fire protection solutions. SICUR presents a wide range of equipment and systems designed to provide effective emergency responses and improve fire prevention and protection. - Workplace Safety:
Protection and well-being in the workplace. The exhibition showcases personal protective equipment (PPE) and solutions related to occupational health and safety.
- Security:
Strengthening these areas and making them safer is a key factor in moving towards a society focused on improving safety, prevention and overall well-being.
Madrid, Spain
Madrid is the capital of Spain and, therefore, a city with a rich social and cultural life. It offers numerous historical landmarks, such as the Prado National Museum, which is internationally recognised for housing outstanding collections of European art.
The city has more than 3 million inhabitants and is made up of 21 districts and 131 neighbourhoods, each with its own unique character and attractions. Madrid also has a huge variety of restaurants (more than 30,000), allowing visitors to enjoy cuisine from all over the world in a single city.
However, if you want to experience traditional Madrid cuisine, it is worth trying some of its most typical dishes and tapas, such as cocido madrileño (Madrid-style stew), huevos rotos (broken eggs with potatoes), callos a la madrileña (Madrid-style tripe) and soldaditos de Pavía (fried cod strips).
